We need some ideas for our CLINICAL DEEP DIVE episodes...

We're planning the schedule for our BONUS EPISODES for this year, and we want to know what you're yearning for us to do a clinical deep dive about. This could be a specific disease process that you find confusing, new updates into treatment methods for a specific illness (eg/ FIP in cats), or a clinical presentation you'd like to discuss work up for.

These podcasts are for YOU, so we want to know what you'd like us to talk about!

Please drop a comment below, you can remain anonymous (or direct message us via email or socials) if you'd prefer.

Best wishes,

Brendan and Charlotte

I’d love an episode on basic GP cardiology. I’m 2.5 years out and I feel like my knowledge doesn’t extend beyond using vetmedin and furosemide and sometimes rarely benazepril. Knowing how to manage cardiac disease in cats would be useful. And knowing what sedation/GA protocols are recommended in patients with a heart murmur. I’m also awful at ultrasound so any tips for how to do a basic echo would be great.

Non pruritic alopecia always gets me since the work up can be so costly and unrewarding and often the owners aren't too concerned

Pain management in cats - when you've had poor/minimal responses to the licensed options, is anything else worth a try? Or is that the end of the road?

And silly but frustrating me at the moment - anal gland infections: when to flush? When to treat medically? What's going on in there? XD

Looking forward to catching up through the catalogue! xx

You've come up with three beltingly good topics there. And three things I never would have thought about until you asked. I'll put all three into the list we keep for podcast ideas, and I'll try to tackle them all in the forthcoming recordings as I think they're superb things to discuss. Please don't hesitate to get into contact again with more questions or comments.

I'm in vet school so anything helps!! We've covered PUPD, tachycardia issues, pneumonia in cows, eostrus managment in cows, thomocyte blockages in cat ect. Also just covered chronic kidney disease! Anything from a clinic perspective of common problems vets face would be great.

Hi Poppy, thank you for the feedback! Good luck with your studies, what year are you currently in? We should be releasing a bonus episode that covers a clinical deep dive into various small animal topics once a month, so keep an eye out, we have many more incoming! We may be covering toxicology in April, and possibly Vomiting in March, but keep your eyes peeled for more releases :)
